Meet the Principals

Dr. Stephanie Taggert, Principal

Hello, Old Bonhomme Families!

Welcome to Old Bonhomme Elementary where ALL of our Eagles SOAR. I am excited to start my fifth year as the Principal of Old Bonhomme Elementary! Our main focus for this school year is to continue building our school community, getting to know each other, and building each other up with each individual’s uniqueness!

As construction at our school comes to an end, we are excited for each grade level to experience the flexibility offered by our new spaces. We will continue working together as a staff to help all of our students reach their maximum potential. There will be opportunities for our families to see and learn about our grade-level pods which include classrooms, a flex area, a wet lab, and small group rooms. All of these spaces will help most of the learning stay in and near the classrooms. We look forward to sharing our new spaces with everyone. I believe relationships and knowing we are all on the same team are the keys to success.

On a personal note, I have two daughters: Luciana is 10 and Gabriana is 9. They play soccer for Scott Gallagher and are working toward earning their black belts in MMA. They also love school and enjoy attending Old Bonhomme events as much as possible. I am engaged and planning a small wedding for October 2024. I enjoy running and attending BURN Bootcamp.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and working together this year.

Keep SOARing,

Dr. Stephanie Taggert

Elysabeth McCrary, Assistant Principal

Elysabeth McCrary brings four years of experience in education to the Old Bonhomme School community. All four of those years were spent making an impact on staff, students, and the community as a 6th-grade science teacher at Ladue Middle School.

McCrary earned a bachelor's degree in Middle School Education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. She obtained a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lindenwood University and is pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Administration from Maryville University. Her diverse professional experiences serving in the U.S. Air Force, the Air National Guard, as a Saint Louis County Police Officer, and as a School Resource Officer will help her as the assistant principal at Old Bonhomme Elementary. Along with her collaborative leadership style, McCrary’s ability to build valuable relationships with students, staff, and the community will benefit Dr. Taggert and Old Bonhomme Elementary.
